These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Orange Parse Discord bot (the "Bot") and the website at https://orangeparse.com (the "Site," and together with the Bot, the "Service"), operated by Orange Parse ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Orange Parse Is
Orange Parse is a Discord bot that turns SimulationCraft character exports into simulation-backed gear and scenario recommendations through a chat interface. The Site is an informational page about the Bot. There are no website accounts, comments, reviews, or newsletters.
2. Alpha Status
The Service is in alpha. Expect rough edges: results may be wrong or delayed, features may change or disappear, data may be reset, and the Service may be unavailable or shut down at any time without notice. We provide it so early testers can try it and give feedback, not as a finished product.
3. Eligibility and Discord
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement in your country (at least 13) and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines when using the Bot. Access during the alpha may additionally require membership and a tester role in our support Discord server.
4. Simulation Results and AI-Generated Content
The Bot's recommendations are produced by running SimulationCraft and summarizing the output with a large language model. They are informational only:
- Simulation results are statistical estimates and depend on the accuracy of your export, the simulation profile, and SimulationCraft itself.
- AI-generated summaries can contain errors, omissions, or misstatements of the underlying numbers.
- We make no guarantee that any DPS number, ranking, or recommendation is accurate, current, or optimal.
- You remain responsible for your own in-game decisions.
5. Your Content
When you send the Bot messages or SimulationCraft exports, you keep ownership of that content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and process it solely to operate, debug, and improve the Service — for example, parsing your export, running simulations, generating responses, and keeping your session so follow-ups work. This license ends when your content is deleted (see our Privacy Policy for retention and the /reset command).
You agree to only share exports of characters you play or have permission to share, and you are responsible for what you send the Bot.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Spam the Bot, attempt to evade rate limits or access controls, or automate requests to it.
- Send malformed, oversized, or deliberately malicious uploads, or otherwise probe for vulnerabilities or attempt to break the simulation pipeline.
- Attempt to extract other users' data or interfere with other users' access to the Service.
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, or in violation of Discord's terms or Blizzard's terms.
- Resell the Service or misrepresent its output as guaranteed-accurate advice.
This list is not exhaustive. We expect you to use an alpha service in good faith.
7. Access, Rate Limits, and Suspension
The Service is rate-limited per user and capacity is limited. We may limit, suspend, or revoke your access at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time; sending /reset deletes your session and profile.
8. Intellectual Property and Third Parties
The Site, the Bot, and our branding are owned by Orange Parse. SimulationCraft is a third-party open-source project, and World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Orange Parse is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment or Discord Inc.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORANGE PARSE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY FREE; IF WE ARE NEVERTHELESS FOUND LIABLE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orange Parse and its operators from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 5, and 9 through 11) survive.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in the United States; you and Orange Parse each waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the alpha evolves. We will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for significant changes, post a notice in our Discord server. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Orange Parse regarding the Service.
